Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Windows and Linux Architect/Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and enhance complex IT systems. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of working independently or as part of a collaborative team on advanced technology projects, managing everything from development to troubleshooting to ensure that systems align with operational requirements and security standards.
The architect will conduct in-depth systems analysis, review and test systems for adherence to requirements, and document test results while addressing and resolving support tickets, troubleshooting specific technologies, and managing hardware and software components, including both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products.
Experience with Microsoft Exchange is beneficial to support and enhance infrastructure integration, and familiarity with Nutanix is also preferred for optimizing system performance and scalability.
This role involves identifying and recommending new technologies and processes to improve system efficiency, reliability, and security, as well as overseeing system installations to ensure all equipment functions optimally.
The architect will collaborate with engineers and staff to identify operational and security requirements, designing, integrating, and securing system components. Expertise in cross-domain security, user access control, and continuous monitoring is essential to ensure program success, making this a critical role within our technology infrastructure.
The Level 3 ITE shall possess the following capabilities:
- Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, enhancement, troubleshooting and maintenance of complex and diverse IT systems to meet requirements.
- Works independently or part of a team on advanced technologies analysis projects.
- Reviews and tests systems for adherence to requirements and documents test results.
- Resolve tickets and problem reports on specific technologies and hardware/software components to include COTS/GOTS products from the system level to individual hardware/software components.
- Recommends new technologies and processes for complex systems.
- Coordinates system installations and monitors equipment functioning.
- Identifies system requirements for operations and security, and works with other engineers and staff to develop design and integrate components
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to ten (10) years of experience.
- Four (4) years of additional IT Engineer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree, making the total experience requirement sixteen (16) years as an IT Engineer without a degree.
Certification:
- Must have a Security + certification
Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
