Job Description:
Responsible for operating signal collection, processing, and analysis tool suites for exploitation of recordings or live environment, collaborating with analysts throughout the Intelligence Community, and maintaining awareness of ongoing analysis projects. Analyze signals from various sources including: foreign communications, radar, and other electronic systems, in order to identify the purpose, content and user(s) of signals. Interpret and identify communications, and prepare logs and reports, in order to assist with strategic approaches and plans.
The Level 3 Signals Analyst shall possess the following capabilities:
- Ability to detect, acquire, locate and identify foreign electronic intelligence.
- Experience with monitoring signals intelligence (SIGINT) equipment.
- Knowledge of agency specific tools and methodologies.
- Strong critical thinking and collaboration skills.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in signals analysis (COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, and/or PROFORMA) and/or design and engineering or aerospace, communications, electronic or industrial systems.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience; OR
- A high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience or
- Associate’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience
- Have completed relevant military training (9141-Navy Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst, 1N2A – Air Force Intermediate Technical ELINT Analyst, 451/461- Intermediate Signals Analyst or 452- Advanced Signals Analysis) or have participated in or graduated from relevant training program (Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP), Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP), or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP)).
- Degree must be in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, a Physical Science, or a related technical field. A broader range of degrees will be considered for those who have completed a relevant training program listed above (e.g. 9141, 1N2A, 451/461, 452 or MCSAP/MESAP/MOSAP).
Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
